VENDOR GUIDELINES

"The purpose of the guild shall be to encourage creative handweaving and fiber arts and to promote fellowship and education. To encourage originality and excellence in handweaving and fiber arts and to stimulate broader appreciation of the fiber arts by the public." -Guild By-laws

THE BYLAW STATEMENTS PROMOTE US WITH A SENSE OF FLEXIBILITY, ORIGINALITY, CREATIVITY, AND EXCELLENCE OF QUALITY.

These apply to all skill levels. All members are welcomed and needed to make a sale truly representative of our guild. Excellence and creativity can be achieved even in the simplest items and with basic techniques. With the above purpose in mind, we can consider several specific items (categories) that seem appropriate for our sale:

· Handwovens–functional, decorative, art pieces, etc.
· Hand-knitted or crocheted items that are of original design or made of handspun or hand-dyed yarns or have the addition of creative embellishment
· Handspun, hand-dyed, or painted yarns
· Felted items and silk fusion
· Baskets from natural fibers
· Handmade paper
· Surface design (shibori, batik, silk, painting, marbling, or beading)
· Hand-dyed or natural fiber prepared for use (All fiber cleaned and prepared—packaged for use.)
· Jewelry and pieces incorporating woven, spun, or felted techniques

There are an unlimited number of items that fall withing the above list and follow the purpose of our guild. For items that may not fit into these categories, feel free to contact the sales committee.
